This room is geared towards gently preparing children for 'big school'.There is still all the encouragement and warmth of the nursery, with learning activities developed through play and personal experience.
Children's social and communication skills are developed through plenty of contact with adults and friends and play with educational toys, devised to stimulate mind and language development.
Our programme is designed around the Early Years Foundation Stage laid down by Ofsted and includes role play, number and matching skills, art and craft and simple concepts of time, days of the months and so on.
Our aim is that when children leave us they are ready for school, armed with all the necessary skills to make the transition confidently.
